I am a tenure-track Associate Professor (Ph.D. supervisor) in the Department of Electronic Engineering, Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
Before joining SJTU, I was an Assistant Professor at the Beijing Institute of Technology (2020–2022).
I received my Ph.D. degree in Electronic Engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 2020.
From Sep. 2017 to Mar. 2019, I was a visiting researcher at the University of Sydney, working with Prof. Wanli Ouyang and Prof. Dong Xu.
My research interests include video coding, multimedia processing, and efficient multimodal large language models
I serve as an Associate Editor for IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems for Video Technology (T-CSVT) and as a Guest Editor for journals including IJCV.
I have served as an Area Chair for major ML conferences (e.g., ICLR and NeurIPS), co-lead the AVS working group on 3D medical image coding, and have organized tutorials/workshops on intelligent compression at venues such as CVPR and ACM Multimedia.
My honors include the IEEE Visual Signal Processing and Communications Rising Star Award, best paper awards at conferences such as VCIP/WCSP, and outstanding doctoral dissertation awards (including awards from CSIG and Shanghai Jiao Tong University).
